Jonathan Haskett

Jonathan Haskett, age 60, Forsyth, Missouri

Services for Jonathan Haskett, 60 of Forsyth, will be Tuesday, October 24, 2023 in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.  Visitation will begin at 12:00 P.M. with the funeral to follow at 1:00 P.M. and burial in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson.

Jonathan was born June 11, 1963.  He grew up in Branson and graduated from Branson High School in 1981. After high school he married Tina Rogers and started his family.  He was a hard worker; a small but mighty man.  He worked closely with his father-in-law, Eldo Rogers collecting creek rocks and boulders throughout Southwest Missouri to be used in landscaping and building projects, most notably in the properties designed by Johnny Morris.  He would also haul hay, cut cedar logs and tackle any job that needed to be done.  He later worked with Sign Systems and Miller Zell in their partnership in creating informed spaces in Walmart stores with signage placement.

One of Jonny’s greatest loves was hot rods, motorcycles and racing.  He loved NHRA drag races.  His favorite drag strip was Ozark Raceway Park in Rogersville where he had watched races and raced his own rod earning a 1st place trophy.

Jonny had grown up in church in Branson and had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  He had told his family in his final days that he was ready for heaven.  Jonathan entered into rest on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene & Bertha Haskett.

He leaves behind his three children, Christina Nichols & husband Sean of Branson, Sabrina Haskett & fiancé Steven Essick of Ozark, and Cory Haskett of Hollister; his sister, Judy Johnson & husband Roger of Branson and seven grandchildren, Bayli, Jordan, Ethan, Macie, Carter, Cooper and Caden.  Jonathan will also be deeply missed by other family and friends including Myron Meeks and Tim Johnson.
