John Cody Germann - September 1, 1992 – March 3, 2025.
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John Cody Germann, 32, on March 3, 2025. Cody was the beloved son of Tammy Graham and John Eric Germann, and the younger brother of Tamara Maddox. Cody was a devoted partner to his Fiancé, Michele Fann. Cody loved Michele’s children, Jasper and Kaitlyn Guard, as if they were his own.
Cody was born on September 1, 1992 in Kansas City, MO. As a young boy and through his adulthood, Cody had a passion for the outdoors. Whether it was camping, hunting, or exploring his love for rocks, those early joys stayed with him, shaping the adventurous and curious spirit that many loved.
Cody had a unique and special way with animals, and his creative mind was always busy thinking outside the box, especially when it came to fixing things. He had a love for music, particularly the band Citizen Soldier, whose lyrics spoke to him. He often found peace and understanding through their songs.
Although Cody faced struggles with mental health, he was known for his infectious laughter, great sense of humor, and generosity. His laughter was contagious, and his playful spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Cody had a giant heart and always helped anyone around him when he could.
In honoring Cody’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. We invite friends and family to celebrate his memory in their own personal way. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in Cody’s memory.
Cody’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and his legacy of kindness, humor, and resilience will never be forgotten.
