JoAnn Wollman

JoAnn Wollman, age 87, Forsyth, Missouri

JoAnn Wollman of Forsyth, MO passed away peacefully at home on January 21, 2024.  She was 87.

JoAnn was born on August 1, 1936 to Forrest and Margaret (MCCarthy) McCleary in Kansas City, KS, the youngest of four children. JoAnn attended Catholic schools and graduated from Bishop Ward High School in 1953.

JoAnn married Frank (Buck) L. Wollman, Jr. on August 20, 1955. They had 3 children, LueAnn, Frank III and Mary Kathleen (Kate). They moved from Kansas City to the Ozarks in 1983 where they owned and operated the Junction Laundry. Buck preceded her in death on November 30, 1990.

She was a woman of many interests and talents. JoAnn did extensive research on her family genealogy going back many generations and generously shared this with all of her family far and wide. She was extremely proud of her Irish heritage. She loved family reunions, holiday and Sunday dinners where she could share her wonderful cooking. She had many other hobbies throughout her life including camping, gardening and carding. She was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church and was a member of Our Lady of the Ozarks parish in Forsyth, MO.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings, John Forrest (Jack) McCleary, Mary Margaret Greer and Patricia McCleary.

She is survived by her children, LueAnn Wollman of Kansas City, Frank L. Wollman and his wife Diana K. Wollman of Rockaway Beach, MO and Mary Kathleen Wollman of Forsyth, MO; sister-in-law Fran Russell and her husband Jim Russell of Merriam, KS; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  She will be greatly missed.

JoAnn will be interred at Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson. Arrangements are in the care of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.
