James R. Lucas was the son of Jimmy & Edna (Carithers) Lucas, born on August 12, 1943 in Greenwood, MS. He grew up in Greenwood and attended Greenwood High School. He had a long and enjoyable career in the auto parts business. He had owned and operated his own store in Carrollton, MS and later worked for both O’Reilly Auto Parts and AutoZone.
On March 24, 2000, James married his loving wife Angela in Sevierville, TN. They moved to Branson in 2004 from Grenada, MS.
James enjoyed reading, watching western movies, and riding his motorcycle. He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be deeply missed.
James entered into rest on October 15, 2022 at the age of 79.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Tommy Lucas.
James is survived by his wife Angela Lucas of Branson; son, Larry Lucas and wife Cathy of Beaumont, TX and grandchildren Patrick and Paige Lucas; son, Danny Lucas and wife Jody of Atlanta, GA and grandson Dustin Lucas; brothers, Charles Lucas and wife Mary of Iron City, TN and Roy Petty and wife Ana of Dallas, TX.
