On Thursday, February 23, 2023 James Herbert Mathis 63 of Rockaway Beach Missouri cashed in his ticket to Paradise at home surrounded by his loved ones.
James accepted Jesus and was saved two days before he passed with the help of Larry Sifford. James was born on September 23, 1959 in San Francisco, California to Ernestine Lucille Mathis (Costa). He had worked for the union for many years. One of the jobs he was the most proud of was helping to build the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He is survived by his wife of Twenty-six years, Barbara Mathis; sister, Beverly, two children, Kevin Mathis and Ursula Mathis; daughter-in-law, Desarae Mathis; six grandchildren, Elijah, AJ, Karla, Marlee, Lillee and Millee.
He loved and was loved!
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 2023 at The Sycamore Log Church 2402 Sycamore Church Rd, Branson, MO 65616.
