 George Luna Nuñez, Sr., age 45, of Butterfield, Missouri

             George Luna Nuñez, Sr., age 45, of Butterfield, Missouri passed away Monday September 25, 2023 at his home.

            He was born September 18, 1978 in Melrose Park, Illinois the son of Antonio and Hermila (Nuñez) Luna, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death was one brother, Martin Luna.

            Surviving are two sons, George Luna, Jr. of Butterfield, Missouri and Nicholas Luna of Butterfield, Missouri; two daughters, Jasmine Luna of Reeds Spring, Missouri and Natalia Luna of Butterfield, Missouri and four sisters, Yolanda Luna Nuñez of Maywood, Illinois, Soledad Luna of Carpentersville, Illinois, Elsa Luna of Purdy, Missouri and Estela Luna of Hillside, Illinois.

            George grew up and attended Proviso East High School in Maywood, Illinois. Before moving to Missouri he was employed by Schwake Stone Limited, LLC in Des Plaines, Illinois. After moving to Butterfield in 2008 he was employed by Keen Orchards in Washburn and Wal-Mart in Cassville. George enjoyed having a beer while working on the farm and was the life of the party, he never met a stranger and always made people laugh, but what was most important to him was his family and spending time with them. He was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church in Cassville, Missouri.

            Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 30, 2023 at St. Edward Catholic Church in Cassville. Father William Hodgson will conduct the services. Burial will be at Rocky Comfort Cemetery in Rocky Comfort, Missouri.

 The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.

George Luna Nuñez, Sr., de 45 años, de Butterfield, Missouri, falleció el lunes 25 de septiembre de 2023 en su casa.

George creció y asistió a Proviso East High School en Maywood, Illinois. Antes de mudarse a Missouri fue empleado por Schwake Stone Limited, LLC en Des Plaines, Illinois. Después de mudarse a Butterfield en 2008, fue empleado por Keen Orchards en Washburn y Wal-Mart en Cassville. A George le gustaba tomar una cerveza mientras trabajaba en la granja y era el alma de la fiesta, nunca conoció a un extraño y siempre hizo reír a la gente, pero lo más importante para él era su familia y pasar tiempo con ellos. Fue miembro de la Iglesia Católica de San Eduardo en Cassville, Missouri. 

Los servicios se llevarán a cabo a las 10:00 a.m. el sábado 30 de septiembre de 2023 en la Iglesia Católica St. Edward en Cassville. El Padre William Hodgson dirigirá los servicios. El entierro será en el cementerio Rocky Comfort en Rocky Comfort, Missouri. 

La familia recibirá a amigos de 6:00 a 8:00 p.m. el viernes en Fohn Funeral Home en Cassville.
