Geneva Lorene (Ford) Cook (77), of Rockaway Beach, MO.

Geneva Lorene (Ford) Cook (77), of Rockaway Beach, MO departed this life on Monday, December 6, 2021, at Forsyth Nursing & Rehab, Forsyth, MO from heart failure. She had her family by her side. 

Geneva was born on Monday, January 24, 1944 in Catron, MO to Robert and Opal (Whittington) Ford. She married the love of her life Lawrence Cook Sr. on December 8, 1962. They shared 59 years, 2 children, 3 grandkids and 5 great grandkids together. The first part of their marriage was Army lifestyle until Larry retired after 20 years and they moved to Branson, MO where they continued to work and raise their family. She worked in several retail venues in the Branson area before taking on the manager position of Bob’s Ezzzz Stop in Forsyth, MO. She retired from Bob’s and spent her remaining years enjoying retirement in the Tri-Lakes area. 

She is survived by her immediate family: husband Lawrence Cook Sr., daughter Glenna Kay (Cook) & Terry Wilson, son Larry & Michelle (Rowden) Cook Jr., grandsons Eric & Jenea (Ellis) Cook and David Wilson, granddaughter Kirsten (Cook) & Ryan Mease. She had 5 great-grandchildren Riley, Eli & Brielle Cook and Kamreigh & River Mease. She had 2 surviving siblings: Patsy (Ford) Bodeker and Glenda (Ford) & Neil Krauch. She had many nephews & nieces, great nephews & nieces, great-great nephews & nieces. 

She is preceded by her parents Robert & Opal (Whittington) Ford, brothers Robert & Richard Ford, 1 nephew Robert Ford, 2 nieces Virginia Ford & Lisha (Ford) Cantyne, 1 brother-in-law Lester Bodeker. 

Viewing services are at 11:00 on Thursday December 9th and will be held at Kissee-Schofield-Eakins funeral home, 15945 US-160, Forsyth, MO 65653 (417-546-6250). 

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 on Thursday December 9th at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery 5201 S. Southwood Rd, Springfield, MO 65804 (417-823-3944). 

Arrangements are under the direction of Kissee-Schofield-Eakins Funeral Home, Forsyth Missouri.
