Flora Cummings, “Flo”, “Blue”, 84, of Walnut Shade, Mo., went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2026. Celebration of Life service will be Friday, Aug. 21, 2026, at 2PM , Healing River Church, Oak Ridge, Mo. Dusty Coffelt will officiate with burial following in the Oak Ridge Cemetery, Oak Ridge, Mo. Services are under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel, Forsyth Mo.
Flora was born April 18, 1942, to Aaron and Polly (Coker) Anderson. She lived in Protem and Taneyville most of her childhood and all of her life in Taney County. Flora married Dewey Cummings on Sept. 11, 1961, and they were blessed with three children.
Flora had many different jobs she worked at over the years, but the one she was most proud of was being a wife and mother. She attended the New Haven Church, Chestnut Ridge, and thank the Lord for letting her be Baptized on July 19, 2026, in Bull Creek at Chestnut Ridge, professing her faith in front of many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dewey Cumings, two sons Reuben Cummings and Charles Cummings, her sibling Florence Gunter, Jim “Homer” Anderson, Nora “Dude” McClurg, Minnie Lewis, Sherman Anderson, Tom Anderson, Shorty Anderson and Rosa Strain.
Flora is survived by her daughter Laura James & companion Terry Hogan, a daughter-in-law Becky Cummings, two brothers Earl Anderson (Barb), William Anderson (Karen) , grandchildren Joshua Cummings, Kimberly Caputo (Buddy), Regina Sleight (Aaron), Reuben James (Jasmine), great grandchildren Brooklyne Butterfield (Seth), Caden Romine, Hunter Combs, Gracelynn Combs, Wyatt Caputo, and Waylon Caputo.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening Aug 20, 2026, from 6-8PM Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel, Forsyth, Mo.
