Erple “Winona” Ball, age 73, of Cassville, Missouri.

Erple “Winona” Ball, age 73, of Cassville, Missouri passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Cassville Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Cassville, Missouri.

She was born April 25, 1948 in Cassville, Missouri the daughter of Buford and Marzelle (Jackson) Ball, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are three brothers, Dencil Ball and his wife Linda of Eagle Rock, Missouri, Gary Ball and his wife Rose of Exeter, Missouri and Larry Ball of Marionville, Missouri; one sister Lavon Essary and her husband Dwayne of Marionville, Missouri and numerous nieces and nephews.

Winona lived most of her life in this area graduating from Cassville High School.  Some of her childhood was spent living in California.  She was self-employed as a caregiver.  Some favorite pastimes were fishing at Roaring River, working puzzles, taking the OATS bus to Walmart and recording music and people.  As a child she loved playing sheriff and enjoyed taking care of chickens and rabbits but had a way with all animals.  She loved gospel music and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Cassville.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 4, 2022 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.  Brother Tony Ball will conduct the services.  Burial will be at Munsey Cemetery in Eagle Rock.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. Friday until service time at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
