Doris Marcella “Marcie” Goodman entered the presence of Heaven on May 14, 2024.
Marcie was born on June 30, 1956 in St. Elmo, IL. At the age of six she was adopted into her forever family by George and Deneise Carr. While attending the church her father pastored, Marcie met Larry Goodman. The two were married in 1975 in Fairview Heights, IL by Marcie’s father.
Marcie attended Rend Lake College where she studied nursing. She worked forty years as a LPN in various nursing facilities. When she retired from healthcare, her caring disposition for others spurred her to open her own home day care. In July of 2014, Marcie and Larry moved to Branson to relax and enjoy retirement.
Marcie always had a heart for people. Her concern and love for others was evident in her role as a wife and mother and in the careers she pursued. Marcie was also a Christian woman who sought after Christ wholeheartedly. Her salvation and strong faith, affords us the hope that we will be reunited again.
Marcie leaves behind her husband, Larry Goodman of Branson; her sons, Steve Goodman and wife Robyn of Kansas City, MO and Matthew Goodman and wife Charlotte of St. Louis, MO; her sister, Sharon Webb and husband Junior of Fairfield, IL along with her precious grandchildren, Caleb, Gillyan, Gideyon, Avery, Gwendalyn, Gracelyn, Lucas, Gibsyn, Hannah and Griffyn.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 12:00 to 1:30 PM in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson where family and friends are invited to gather and share memories of Marcie.
