David Ross Adcock

David Ross Adcock, age 80, of Springfield, Missouri

            David Ross Adcock, age 80, of Springfield, Missouri passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri.

            He was born December 2, 1942 in Du Quoin, Illinois the son of William and Dorothy (Baxter) Adcock. On November 9, 1963 in Kankakee, Illinois he was united in marriage to Sarah Fishback, who survives. Also surviving is one grandchild, Hayden Adcock of Cole City, Illinois.

            Preceding him in death were his parents; one son, Bill; infant twins, Peter and Patti; an infant brother and one sister.

            David grew up and attended school in Kankakee, Illinois graduating from Kankakee High School. He was employed by Caterpillar Incorporated as a plant engineering supervisor for 31 years from where he retired. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and being outdoors. He was a member of Roaring River Baptist Church.

            Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 1, 2023 at Roaring River Baptist Church in Eagle Rock, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Scott Hill and Brother Tony Ball will conduct the services. Burial will be at Munsey Cemetery in Eagle Rock, Missouri.

            Contributions may be made to Roaring River Baptist Church in memory of David.
