Darrell Hank Bacon, age 69, of Exeter, Missouri.

Darrell Hank Bacon, age 69, of Exeter, Missouri passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Missouri. 

He was born June 17, 1953 in Wheaton, Missouri the son of Frederick Oscar and Hazel Mae (Boggess) Bacon. On December 18, 1976 in Cassville, Missouri he was united in marriage to Calla Holman, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Callie Woods of Exeter, Missouri and Andrea Cassidy and her fiancé Shane Thornton of Schell City, Missouri; one brother, Joe Bacon and his wife Beverly of Cassville, Missouri; two sisters, Louise Coones of Springfield, Missouri and Linda Callison and her husband John of Exeter, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Hannah and her husband Colby, Hank, Hallie Mae, Haidyn, Alivia, Dakota Sue and Shandi and several nieces and a nephew. 

Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, Dennis Bacon and one brother-in-law, Neal Coones. 

Darrell grew up and received his education in Exeter, Missouri graduating from Exeter High School. After graduation he began working at Marcels in Exeter and was an amateur fisherman. He worked for Sherrell Cassity pouring concrete and also helped with the family business of growing grapes. Later Darrell began working for the United States Postal Service as a rural mail carrier from where he retired in 2018. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, hunting for mushrooms and arrowheads, going antiquing, gardening and farming. Darrell loved spending time with his family especially the grandkids. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Exeter, Missouri. 

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter, Missouri. Pastor Jerry Yarnall will conduct the services. 

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 P.M. Wednesday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. 

Contributions may be made to Maplewood Cemetery in memory of Darrell.
