Constance Jo “Connie” Miles, age 70, of Purdy, Missouri passed away Saturday, March 1, 2025.
She was born April 9, 1954 in Glendale, California the daughter of Richard Harding and Barbara Ann (Moore) Fessenden. On October 9, 1978 she was united in marriage to David Thomas Miles, who preceded her in death on April 20, 2010. Also preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers, Gary Lippe and Kenny Williamson.
Surviving are three sons, Brad Miles and his wife Rachel of Purdy, Missouri, Wes Miles and his wife Raelene of Iantha, Missouri and Willie Miles of Pryor, Oklahoma; three daughters, Abby Fohn and her husband Justin of Cassville, Missouri, Hallie Weaver and her husband Charles of Dallas, Texas and Chloe Miles of Dallas, Texas; three sisters, Terree Torbert and her husband Rick of Illinois, Sandy Ahten of Illinois and Dixie Meeks of Illinois; eleven grandchildren, Richard Fohn, Elizabeth Fohn, Zachary Haws, Gabriel Miles, Logan Reis, Mya Miles, Jacob Miles, Austin Heider, Izabell Miles, Elijah Miles and Jessica Weaver and five great grandchildren, Versi Heider, Temperance Heider, Mary Heider, Ryder Houston and Tyler Haws.
Connie attended school in Henry, Illinois graduating from Henry High School. She was manager at a florist shop for several years. Connie and David moved here in 1997 coming from Harrison, Arkansas. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, crocheting, was a very talented crafter and could sew anything by hand. Most important to her were her children and their family. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Wheaton.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 14, 2025 at First Baptist Church in Wheaton, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Reverend Kenneth Carney will conduct the service. Burial will be held at a later date at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. until service time Friday, March 14, 2025 at First Baptist Church in Wheaton.
