Caralyn Dale McAuley, age 79, of Branson
Caralyn Dale McAuley, age 79, of Branson, Missouri, passed away August 27, 2026. She entered this life March 19, 1947, the daughter of Perry and Caraline (Hill) Rhodimer in Prescott, Arizona.
A loving, kind, and remarkably persistent, Caralyn will be remembered as a woman whose life was shaped by faith, creativity, curiosity, and a determination to pursue the things that mattered to her. A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Branson Ward, Caralyn's faith was an important part of her life and the way she approached the world around her. She was also a member of Eagles Forum and the John Birch Society, reflecting her strong convictions and willingness to stand firmly for the principles she believed in.
Caralyn possessed a wonderfully creative spirit. She loved sewing and painting, finding joy in creating beautiful things with her own hands. Her artistic talents also extended to the big screen, where she spent time as an actress. In her younger years, Caralyn had an adventurous love for the water. She enjoyed surfing, water ballet, and swimming.
Those who knew Caralyn will remember her especially for her loving and kind heart. She cared deeply, held tightly to the things she valued, and possessed a persistence that carried her throughout her life. Once Caralyn set her mind to something, she was not easily deterred. Her life contained many chapters: actress, artist, seamstress, swimmer, woman of faith, and so much more. Together, they tell the story of a woman who lived with conviction, creativity, and heart. Caralyn's memory will remain with those who knew and loved her, carried forward in the stories they share, the things she created, and the many lives she touched along the way.
Caralyn is survived by her son, Jim Rhodimer and fiancé, Amy; son, Alex McAuley; daughter, Meghan McAuley and fiancé, Chris Jones; grandchildren, Morgan Ashley Rhodimer and Brittney Noelle Rhodimer; brother, Steve Rhodimer and wife, Merle; brother, Charles Rhodimer; and sister, Shirley Goldman.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Doug; sister, Sally; and brother-in-law, Barry Goldman.
There will be a memorial service held at a later date at the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 224 Church Road, Branson, Missouri.
