Billy Gene Owens, age 65.
Billy Gene Owens, age 65, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2022 at his home.
He was born on February 6, 1957 in Monett, Missouri the son of Bill and Marie Owens, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his grandparents and one daughter, Tracy Michelle Bieber.
Surviving are his wife, Cindy Butler; one son, Billy Bieber and his wife Kim of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; one step-daughter, Christina Pyle and her husband Joel of Cassville, Missouri and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Billy attended school in Mt, Vernon, Missouri graduating from Mt. Vernon High School. He joined the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War. After moving to Cassville, Missouri in 2007 he started working at Arning Companies in Cassville where he worked for several years. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, the Kansas City Chiefs and fishing and just being outdoors.
Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Chaplain Jack Betts will conduct the services. Burial will be at Antioch Cemetery in Cassville, Missouri at a later date.
