Barbara Alice Lilly, age 79, of Ridgedale, Missouri

Barbara Alice Lilly, age 79, of Ridgedale, Missouri, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022, at home with her husband at her bedside. She entered this life June 7, 1942, in Festus, Missouri, the daughter of Emmett and Jeanette (Pashia) AuBuchon. Preceding her in death are her parents and a sister, Donna AuBuchon. Barbara was joined in marriage June 25, 1960, to her high school sweetheart, John Joseph Lilly.

With a heart for children, Barbara was an elementary school teacher for 32 years before retiring. She heard the chalkboard calling and substituted in Blue Eye schools after that. With her love for the Lord, Barbara could be found volunteering at the church garage sales and cooking for the services held at the church. She was a member of the Parish Council of Catholic Women for Our Lady of the Cove Catholic Church in Kimberling City, Missouri. Barbara has loved dogs for many years, but the greatest love was her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.

Barbara is survived by her husband of nearly 62 years, John Lilly; two sons: Kevin (Cindy) Lilly of Jacksonville, Florida, and Scott Lilly of Frederick, Maryland; two grandchildren: Erin (Scott), and Dana; and one great-grandson, Steven.

Rosary will be 10:30 a.m. with Funeral Mass following at 11:00 a.m. Saturday March 19, 2022, at Our Lady of the Cove Catholic Church, Kimberling City, Missouri, with Father William Hennecke officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Our Lady of the Cove Memorial Gardens. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
