Barbara Jean “Honey” Davis, age 84, of Shell Knob
Barbara Jean “Honey” Davis, age 84, of Shell Knob, Missouri passed away Monday, May 25, 2026 at Mercy Hospital Springfield in Springfield, Missouri.
She was born January 11, 1942 in Licking, Missouri, the daughter of Elmer and Dorine (Beasley) Poore. On November 1, 1958 in Kansas City, Kansas she was united in marriage to Eddie Davis, who survives. Also surviving are her daughters, Sherrie Bowyer and husband Travis of Cassville, Missouri and Teresa Hormel of Shell Knob, Missouri; sister, Lilly Berry-Arnold of Kansas City, Kansas; six grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; son, Rodney Wayne Davis; brother, Elmer, Jr. and sisters, JoAnn, Velma, Charlene, Linda, and Cynthia.
Barbara attended Rosedale High School in Kansas City, Kansas. She and her husband, Eddie, worked together installing carpet for more than 20 years. In 1970, they made their home in Shell Knob after moving from Kansas City, Kansas. Family was Barbara’s world, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She taught each of them how to tie their shoes and read before starting school. Barbara loved sharing stories and she had endless patience. She was a member of Fairview Pentecostal Church and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at Lohmer Full Gospel Church in Shell Knob, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Karty Burbridge will conduct the services. Burial will be at Fields Cemetery in Shell Knob, Missouri.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time Tuesday at Lohmer Full Gospel Church in Shell Knob.
