Anna Mae McQueen

Anna Mae McQueen, age 97, Branson, Missouri

Anna Mae McQueen, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother “Granny Annie”, passed away peacefully in Branson, MO, on July 19, 2023. Born on May 18, 1926, in Fairfax, MO, to the late Abraham Kendig Brenner and Ora (Carson) Brenner, Anna Mae was a beacon of love and selflessness throughout her 97 years of life.

Anna was preceded in death by her brothers, Bill "Carson" Brenner, Harry Brenner, Wade Brenner, Albert Brenner, and her sister, Treva Wheeler.


Anna was a devoted mother to her children, two of whom, Alanna Loebig and Frank Townsend McQueen, III, preceded her in death. She is survived by her sons, Jerry Rickard and his wife Sharon of Windermere, FL, and Claude "Buzz" McQueen and his wife Shirley of Branson, MO. She also leaves behind her stepdaughters, Connie Hergert of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Claudia Thomas of Wellington, KS. Her legacy continues through her eleven grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and several great and great-great grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly along with her special nieces, Carolyn, Patricia and Pamela.

Anna was a great mother who loved her children deeply and was loving and attentive while raising them. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will remember her for her unwavering love and the lessons she taught them.

In addition to her love for her family, Anna had a deep appreciation for nature. She enjoyed growing flowers and tending to her garden. Her home, overlooked Table Rock Lake, and was her sanctuary, and she found peace in the view it offered.

A celebration of Anna’s life will be Saturday, August 5, 2023, in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson at 1:00 PM.
