Albert “Jody” Ray, age 74, of Jenkins, Missouri

               Albert “Jody” Ray, age 74, of Jenkins, Missouri passed away Monday, January 9, 2023 at Cox Monett Hospital in Monett, Missouri.

            He was born September 24, 1948 in Cato, Missouri the son of Alvin and Oneda (Mills) Ray. On February 12, 1975 in Shell Knob, Missouri he was united in marriage to Charlotte Maloney, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Brad Ray and his wife Tyranny of Gravette, Arkansas; one daughter, Misty Creekmore and her husband Robert of Diamond, Missouri; one brother, Johnny Ray and his wife Renee of Republic, Missouri; five sisters, Ellen Hensley and her husband Richard of Fordland Missouri, Ruth Sherrell of Brownsburg, Indiana, Kaye Dunmire and her husband Wayne of Monett, Missouri, Rose Simpson and her husband Harold of Crane, Missouri and Barbara Stockton and her husband Lonnie of Shell Knob, Missouri and five grandchildren Elias Ray, Noble Ray, Caden Ray, Jerry Ray and Easton Creekmore.

            Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother-in-law, Donnie Sherrell.

            Jody was homeschooled until he started college at Springfield College in Springfield, Missouri where he attained an associate degree. After college he began working at Cassville Tool and Machine, then Moore’s Accounting Firm and in 1979 he was employed as a cost accountant at FASCO Industries in Cassville, Missouri from where he retired in 2009. Jody lived in this area all of his life and was a pastor at Lighthouse Full Gospel Church in Eagle Rock, Missouri. He enjoyed fishing, reading, collecting pocket knives and spending time with his family.  His biggest joy was his passion for serving the Lord Jesus Christ. 

            Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Lighthouse Full Gospel Church in Eagle Rock, Missouri, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Brother Lonnie Stockton and Brother Barney Gibson will conduct the services. Burial will be at Clio Cemetery in Jenkins, Missouri.

            The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Friday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.

            Contributions may be made to Ronald McDonald House in memory of Jody.
