Outlook for Area Teams Entering Final Week of High School Football Season

Missouri High Schools are in the final week of the regular season with the final games to determine district seedings coming up this week.

Outlooks involving Lakes Area Teams:

Branson
The Pirates currently sit fourth in Class 5 District 6 with a 4-4 record. Two other teams Willard and Glendale, also have 4-4 records with Willard slightly ahead and Glendale slightly behind Branson in the points standings. A Branson win Friday over Webb City would clinch a home playoff game while a Glendale loss to Camdenton would likely give the Pirates the home game regardless of the outcome over Webb City. Willard's Week Three win over Branson will keep them ahead of the Pirates in the standings. Willard is at Carthage this week and a loss by them and the Pirates and a Glendale win would jumble the standings. Two of the three schools will host playoff games Week 10.

Reeds Spring/Hollister
The Wolves play host to Mount Vernon Friday with the winner to earn the Class 3 District 6 Number Two Seed. Hollister will finish seventh in the District Standings and play at the winner of the Reeds Spring-Mount Vernon contest while the loser of that game will host East Newton in the opening round.

Forsyth
The Panthers currently sit second in Class 2 District Five and a win Friday at Springfield Central would clinch the second seed in the District. A loss and wins by Strafford and Mtn. View/Liberty might jumble the standings, but Forsyth would still host a Week 10 game. If Forsyth finishes second in the district, their Week 10 opponent will be Willow Springs.

The schedules for this week:
Webb City at Branson
Mt Vernon at Reeds Spring
Forsyth at Springfield Central
Hollister at Lamar
