The Harrison Goblins pick-up two more wins in the Lendel Thomas Classic while both Branson teams lost in their tournament games on Thursday.
Harrison Sweeps
The Lady Goblins pull away from Highland for a 54-35 win while the Goblins had a back and forth nail-biter with Dumas, eventually holding on for a 54-53 win. Both teams will look to finish the Classic Undefeated with games against Prairie Grove at 6:00 and 7:30 that can be heard on MOARK Sports and 94.9 KHOZ. The other two games in the classic will have the Highland and Manila Girls play at 3:00 followed by the Dumas and Earle Boys at 4:30.
Branson Drops Two
The Pirates had a back and forth game against Willard in the Consolation Final of the Blue and Gold Tournament at Missouri State University, but the Tigers overcame two deficits in the game to get the victory 57-50. The two teams, Central Ozark Conference foes, will meet again in just under two weeks at Willard. Meanwhile, the Lady Pirates also played a future regular season opponent, dropping a 69-64 contest to Parkview at the Pink and White Lady Classic at Springfield Kickapoo. The two teams will meet again at the end of January in Branson.
Hollister in Walnut Grove Tournament
The Boys take third place as they defeat Marionville 70-48 while the Girls will play for 5th place this afternoon against Greenfield..
