Several High School Football teams were scheduled to open the 2023 High School Football Season on the road including one MOARK Squad.
The Hollister Tigers opened at Cassville in a game originally scheduled for the afternoon but moved to Saturday night due to the excessive heat. The Tigers, with just two starters back from last year's squad, had a tough task against an experienced and talented Wildcat team and that turned out to be a key factor as the home team went on to win 44-6.
The Wildcats opened strong, getting a pair of touchdowns plus forcing a safety against the Tigers before they got there only score of the night in the second quarter to close the gap to 16-6, the Wildcats tacked on another touchdown before the half to lead 23-6 and rolled from there to the win.
