Pool Play opens in the 2023 Edition of the Cal Ripken Major 70 World Series at Ballparks of America.
Central Ozarks, the team representing the Branson area in the 34 Team Field, lost 5-2 in the opening of pool play to Pacific Southwest. Central Ozarks next pool play game will be this evening at 7:00 against Yardley, PA.
The other Missouri entry, from Booneville, lost their game to Dover, NH 5-4 while the two Arkansas team split, Bryant losing 6-4 to Southeast with Hot Springs picking up a 5-3 win over West Fargo, ND.
Pool play continues through Tuesday with Bracket Play for all teams to follow on Wednesday.
