Branson, Harrison Drop Games to State Ranked Teams, Forsyth, Reeds Spring Get District Wins

Republic 35 Branson 25
The Pirate two game winning streak ends at the hands of the state-ranked Tigers and their quarterback Wyatt Woods, who rushed for four touchdowns and threw for another. Branson's Luke McCormick also tossed a couple of touchdown passes and ran for one while kicker Dane Effird hit a 51-yard field goal, falling one yard short of the school record. 

Shiloh Christian 55 Harrison 25
The Goblins did what they could to hang close, only trailing by 11 points at halftime, but the Saints scored 21 unanswered points in the second half to secure the win. Braden Long ran for a pair of touchdowns for the Goblins.

Reeds Spring 26 Aurora 12
The Wolves held a one point lead at halftime but then shutdown the Houn' Dawg offense to pull away in the second half. The teams alternated touchdowns in the first half before the Wolves was able to secure the fifth win of the season.

Forsyth 42 Strafford 20
The Panthers welcomed back running back Braxton Gross as they rallied from a first half deficit to get there fourth straight win over the Indians. Forsyth scored 21 unanswered points to go from seven down to 14 up to get the game under control.

Mount Vernon 56 Hollister 13
The Tigers continue to search for their first win of the season but could not get it against the Mountaineers, who got the games first 14 points and never looked back.
