Area Runners Advance to State Cross Country Meet

Area Schools were on the road for District Cross Country Meets on Saturday.

The Class 4 and 5 District Meets were in Nixa with Branson competing in the Class 5 Meet. Tristan Bough was the only Pirate qualifier, finishing 19th in the Boys Race.

The other area schools were in Hermitage for the Class 1, 2, and 3 Meets. 

In Class 1, the Blue Eye and Galena Boys finished third and fourth to move their squads on to the State Meet. Colton Ellingsworth was the top individual finisher taking 3rd place. Cali Frogley of Hurley was the top area girls finisher taking 6th place.

In Class 2, Lily Hunsucker of Spokane took home Medalist Honors with her 1st place finish in the Girls Race.

In Class 3, Connor Love of Reeds Spring was the top qualifier in the Boys Race finishing 16th while Katherine Schaefer of Hollister was the top area finisher in the Girls Race, taking 14th place.
