Following the announcement of North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) in Harrison’s restructuring, NARMC released which services will be affected.
Officials state in a release posted by KTLY that they have been working on expense reduction and efficiency plans for over 18 months. In that time, services which will be impacted include:
– Temporarily ceasing services for Center for Memory Mood and Thought, NARMC inpatient geriatric behavioral health unit;
– Transition all urgent care services to The Med Plaza;
– Closing two rural health clinics in Marshal and Lead Hill. Officials state patients can still receive care through telemedicine or other providers based in Harrison; and
– An overall reduction of 3% in the workforce.
NARMC President and CEO Sammie Cribbs Roberson stated, “This is a necessary organizational realignment to ensure future success and continued growth. We extend genuine appreciation for the dedication and contributions of our affected employees. Our commitment to providing support and assistance to individuals impacted by these changes remains unwavering during this challenging period.”
